Pants have velcro strap on the waist to adjust down or loosen. They are elastic to allow stretch for a more snug fit. They do run about a size big so if you wear 32 pants 30’s would fit better, or if you wear 30’s the 28’s would fit better and they fit like that all the way down to the smallest size
